National Indigenous Television Limited (NITV) is a public company limited by guarantee incorporated in New South Wales and registered on 1 December 2006. The members of NITV are persons admitted to membership and whose names are entered on the company’s register of members.

To qualify for NITV company membership a person must be a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, or a body corporate controlled by a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and, in the opinion of the Board, must demonstrate direct experience in the Indigenous Screen Industry.

New NITV members must be nominated by two (2) members and nominations for membership must be submitted to the Board in writing, signed by the nominee and 2 members, in the form prescribed by the Board. Upon receipt of any such nomination the Board will then determine whether or not to admit the nominee to membership in its absolute discretion.
