NITV is available outside of the capital cities in Queensland, NSW,
Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania through the Austar Pay TV
network on Channel 180 to satellite subscribers. Subscribers have access to NITV’s program schedule and program details via AUSTAR’s electronic program guide (EPG). The NITV service is also part of the 2008 AUSTAR for Schools program . This community program provides 16 of AUSTAR’s educational channels to 2000 schools across Australia, free of charge. NITV, provides Indigenous and Non-Indigenous school children with educational Indigenous children’s programming, some in traditional languages.
